Alvin McLellan for Mayor
Certified Candidate for Mayor, Huron EastI'm Deputy Mayor of Huron East, and I'm asking for your trust to serve as Mayor. I've spent my life here, and I want to keep bringing a steady, experienced voice to Grey, McKillop, Seaforth, Tuckersmith, and Brussels.
Experience Huron East can rely on
Local government experience
I was selected by my fellow Council members to be Deputy Mayor in 2022, after years representing Grey Ward as Councillor. My 25-plus years' experience has taught me how to bring Council together to get things done.
Deep local roots
My roots in Huron East go beyond an address: I have volunteered in the community for decades (starting with the Brussels Optimist Club) and it's this that really ties me to this community.
Hands-on community involvement
I serve on the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority board, the Bluewater Recycling Association, and many other local community committees.
What I'll focus on as Mayor
Roads & Infrastructure
I'll keep our roads, bridges, and drainage systems well maintained across every ward, with a clear plan for what gets fixed and when.
Responsible Budgeting
I'll manage our tax dollars carefully and keep the municipal budget on solid, sustainable ground.
Supporting Local Business
I'll champion local businesses and Main Streets across Huron East.
